Art DEPARTMENT MANAGER
The Art Department Manager has the high-level objective to maintain and grow Vertigo’s Art talent to the highest possible level.
The Art Department Manager reports to the Operations Director and works closely with the other Department Managers and all the project Leads/HR team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Art Team
- Final responsibility for the evaluation and performance reviews of art team personnel
- Coaching and personal development of artists
- Scouts for talent for the art team
Company-wide Responsibilities
- Representation of the studio for promotional activities related to team growth and recruitment
- Assistance to the art team leads/primaries where required
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 6+ years’ experience in game development, having worked closely with art teams
- Knowledge of the different art disciplines, their processes, and their pipelines
- Experience in managing and evaluating people
BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Art outsourcing experience
- Hands on digital artist skills
- Recruitment experience
- Interest in immersive gaming
